Meet the Missionary
Brad & Connie Lowrie
After pastoring for over 17 years, it was quite a surprise in their lives when God began to move them to make the giant leap of faith, leave family, familiarity, and the pastorate to become a missionary to Croatia. After resigning as a pastor, Bro. Lowrie sold their home and much of their personal belongings, packed up and headed to Croatia in June of 2017.
New Life is the first and only Independent Baptist Church in the capital city of Zagreb with almost one million people in the greater metro area. It is one of only three independent Baptist Churches in the entire country of Croatia. God has blessed the ministries of New Life with approximately 50 professions of faith and 14 following The Lord in Scriptural Baptism. To date thru the efforts of New Life, they have distributed app 1.4 million seeds of The Gospel whether it was gospel tracts, fliers, John & Romans, whole Bibles or through other literature.
Pastor Brad desires to help people understand the Bible in ways that apply to everyday life. When you hear him speak, expect to laugh and occasionally cry, and when you least expect it, something he’s saying will sneak up on you and you’ll suddenly realize “that was for me.” Discipleship, Bible Institute, and mentoring and/or intern programs are also a big part of their ministry.
Brad and his wife Connie have been married for almost 40 years, raising three sons. All three of their sons are serving The Lord in the United States and they also have five (soon to be 6) wonderful grandchildren and are more than willing to show you pictures of them at a moment’s notice. When they are not busy with ministry, they enjoy spending time together with family and friends, playing games, and traveling when time permits.
